But on with the story: Outside the ring, they were called simply called Mr. & Mrs. Jumpingbeans.

For those that do not know, in a wrestler’s family there are always two names: An every-day regular one and a name you choose when you don a mask and compete in the ring. They were very successful wrestlers, and, even more, they were happy.

However, more than anything in the world, they wanted a little baby. They had tried everything, from sleeping upside down to magic potions. Sadly, no little ones arrived. They went to big-city doctors and the local medicine man, who only bonked them both on the head with a stick. The even went as far to eat broccoli and sprouts…together! (Rumbleina: “Hey, what’s wrong with broccoli and sprouts?”) Still, nothing seemed to do the trick. Sadly, as the years passed, they were not gifted with a little one of their own.

One twilight evening, Mrs. Jumpingbeans, who was overcome with sadness, went into the flower garden and wept bitterly. A small flower fairy took pity on her and enchanted one of the growing tulips, as to grant the poor woman’s heartfelt wish. Fairies were always fluttering about, doing that type of thing back then.

Mrs. Jumpingbeans looked up at the stars, not noticing the tears that rolled off her cheek and splashed on a budding tulip below. Now, it just so happened to be the very tulip the smallest fairy had gifted with magic. Almost instantly, the green flower it began to change, glowing bright red and – before her teary eyes – grew larger and larger, slowly opening wide as if in full bloom!

A small voice echoed from inside the flower. Mama Jumpingbeans eyes opened wide and she gasped, as it opened to reveal a tiny baby girl no bigger than a little bean!
